Gregory Keith Cassidy, age 74, of Sardinia, Ohio died Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. He was a retired Sales Representative and Project Manager for Tecumseh Builders, former Mayor and Village Council Member for the Village of Sardinia and a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Greg was born August 30, 1948 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma the son of the late John Keith and Dorothy Mae (Tennant) Cassidy. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son – Tyler Cassidy and one sister – Patricia Kay Lee.
Mr. Cassidy is survived by his wife of nearly 20 years – Barbara Sue (Walden) Cassidy whom he married July 4, 2003; six children – Deborah Smith of Sardinia, Ohio, John R. Smith, Jr. and wife Lorry of Williamsburg, Ohio, Leslie Staats and husband Kurt of Maryland, Katheryn Shannon and husband Kevin and Tracey Clere and husband Michael both of Oklahoma and Jay Cassidy and wife Moriah of Colorado; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one brother-in-law – Bruce Lee of Texas and four cousins – Robert Cassidy of California, Susan Cassidy of Oregon, Coleen Cassidy of California and Kathy Tate of North Carolina.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Bible Baptist Church, 990 West Main Street, Mt.Orab, Ohio 45154. Pastor Ted House will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00P.M. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in the Sardinia Cemetery in Sardinia, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab is serving the family.
