Multiple people were arrested on federal drug and weapons charges on June 26 as authorities began enforcing arrest warrants on 22 individuals all over southwest Ohio and into Kentucky.

Brown County Drug and Major Crimes Task Force Commander Justin Conley said that the group is responsible for distributing over 100 pounds of methamphetamine and dozens of firearms into the local area.

Conley said that the counties were the alleged drug and weapons dealing occured include Hamilton, Clermont, Brown, Greene, Highland, Clinton, Adams and Butler counties.

Conley said that almost every local law enforcement agency in the area has contributed in some way to the year-long investigation.

The Brown County Drug and Major Crimes Task Force worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration, The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, U.S. Marshals and the Ohio State Highway Patrol to make the arrests.

Conley said that approximately sixty officers were involved in the warrant sweep. He added that the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Clermont County Drug Task Force and the Greene County ACE Task Force also assisted in the investigation.
