The first public meeting to discuss a comprehensive plan for Brown County was held at Southern State Community College in Mt. Orab on June 13 with a large crowd in attendance.

The Brown County Board of Commissioners have contracted with Envision Group to assist in the drafting of a 20-year comprehensive plan for the county, and among the goals of the first meeting held June 13 was to gather public input on a number of issues relating to the development of Brown County, including land use and zoning, infrastructure (transportation and utilities) and economic development.
