During the week of July 17, the Mt. Orab Police Department took to the streets to pass out icy, sweet treats to local children. The calling was the Mt. Orab Police Department’s Operation Freeze-Out 2.0, bringing smiles to the faces of many Mt. Orab kids.

It was one of the annual events hosted by the Mt. Orab Police Department to help build positive relationships between officers and residents.

Mt. Orab police officers enjoyed handing out ice cream treats and spending time with the local children.

Times were given as to when the police department’s ice cream truck would be in each area of Mt. Orab, and excitement grew as the ice cream music from the big green equipment vehicle filled with frozen treats drew near.

“Thank you so much for the smiling faces,” it said in a release from the Mt. Orab Police Department. “We had a blast.”
