A community leader, successful businessman, and huge supporter of local youth; Paul Hall will be dearly missed in Brown County.

Paul Edward Hall II passed away due to medical complications on Saturday, Feb. 18.

He was born to Paul and Margie Hall, on July 7, 1957, in Foster, KY.

Paul was a strong supporter of local 4-H clubs and youth organizations. He could be seen at the Brown County Fair each year purchasing multiple animals during the Friday and Saturday junior fair auctions.

His support of 4-H goes back many years ago.

Hall was involved with Kentucky 4-H and went on to serve as President of Kentucky 4-H Teen Council and attend the University of Kentucky. After graduating, he married his sweetheart, Jill Conrad Hall, and went to work for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation for 10 years.

He opened an insurance agency in 1988 with Nationwide Insurance in Mt. Orab with only one employee. While receiving numerous awards over the years, the business now includes seven offices and nearly 40 employees.

He certainly had a passion for giving back to his community, especially the youth.

Hall was involved in a number of organizations and groups in Brown County and was chair of the Kentucky 4-H Foundation.

He was involved with the Brown County Republican Party (Chair), Brown County Board of Elections, Georgetown Church of Christ (Deacon), Brown County Jail Task Force (Chair), Southern State Community College (Chair), Brown County Junior Fair, Hospice of Hope Board and helped lead the Georgetown Church of Christ “God is Able” Campaign. Hall was so passionate about giving back that he even started the Paul Hall & Associates Foundation to help others.

Many of those who knew Paul Hall shared their memories of him on social media.

“Paul was an incredible man. I met him 23 years ago. He helped me through a lot of rough spots in my life. He gave me great advice and always made me laugh. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He made a positive impact on everyone he met,” Cathy Carlson posted on the “Prayers for Paul Hall” Facebook page.

“He was the guy with the golden heart, always kind and caring,” it said in a post from Beth Redford.

“Paul was a busy guy, but was never too busy to be genuine, kind, and caring,” it said in a post from Caitlin Armstrong.

Hall held a deep love for the Brown County community, but was also a family man.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jill Conrad Hall (Brown County Auditor), and his mother, Margie Clark Hall; and was a loving father to his three daughters, Caroline and Sam Hennig of Harrison, Ohio; Anna and Andrew Stroud of Williamsburg, Ohio; and Rebecca and Brad Conrad of Winchester, Kentucky. He was a proud pawpaw of his six grandchildren; Lacey, Emily, Levi, Elaina, Audrey, and Baby Nora Grace who will be arriving very soon.

A celebration of life was held for Paul Hall on Feb. 25 at the Georgetown Church of Christ.

Even after his death, his support of local youth still lives on and you can help in fulfilling his final wish.

Consider making a donation to the Paul Hall Foundation to fulfill his last wish of building a community playground in Mt. Orab. Donations can be made payable to Paul Hall & Associates Foundation and can be sent or dropped off to one of the Paul Hall & Associates offices with a notation of “playground” or mailed to the main office at 105 Agency Lane, Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154.
