The Brown County Chamber of Commerce swore in its 2023 Officers on Thursday, Jan. 19 at its annual chamber meeting held at The 1810 Social Barn. This year’s Officers sworn in by the Brown County Probate/Juvenile Judge Val Lewis II, include Chair, Beth Kress of Hospice of Hope; Vice Chair, Courtney Worley of the Brown County Prosecutors Office; Communications, Lisa Tumbleson-Davis of Adams Brown Community Action Partnership; Treasurer, Tosha Leimberger of Peoples Bank; and Secretary, Amanda Brannock of Child Focus.
The annual event featured remarks by outgoing Board Chair Jen Patrick; incoming Board Chair Beth Kress; a brief review of the Chamber’s accomplishments in 2022, and the keynote address by Melissa Kirkpatrick, was enjoyed by a crowd of 100 plus attendees.
The members celebrated their successes, acknowledged their challenges, reported on strategic plan and upcoming events, reviewed the past year, and looked towards future goals.
“We had a sold-out business crowd here to celebrate business growth over the past year,” said Missy Jimison, President/CEO Brown County Chamber of Commerce. “It was a remarkable day where the business community came together and said how can we continue to be successful together and what’s next for the future.”
The Chamber announced that it has reached 300 current and active members with the addition of Ace Home Inspection Services. “Reaching 300 members has exceeded our expectations, but it shows that Brown County employers and businesses are committed to creating a strong community,” said Jimison. “We look forward to continuing our efforts to grow our membership and promote economic growth opportunities in Brown County for many years to come.”
The 2022 outgoing board members included Jen Patrick of HealthSource of Ohio and Linda Beckelhimer of Southern Hills Community Bank.
We must thank all of the valuable contributors that helped make the 2023 Chamber Annual Meeting a successful event once again. It is the continued support of these businesses, organizations and individuals that helps the Chamber fulfill its mission of offering programs, benefits, and events to its members, giving them a stronger voice and advocacy and being involved in more activities and initiatives in our communities.
