Walker Fields of Williamsburg passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 surrounded by family in Anderson Township, he was 95. He was born to the late Anderson “Red” and Edith Fields on February 15, 1924 in Krypton, KY.

Walker is survived by his loving wife Ruth (nee Engle) Fields, his caring children Linda (James) Lindsey of Williamsburg, OH, Pamela Shipley of Mt. Orab, OH, Roger Fields of Mt. Orab, OH; his cherished grandchildren Brandon (Christina) Lindsey of Williamsburg, OH, Brett Lindsey of Williamsburg, OH, and Shawna (Tom) Burkholder of New Richmond, OH; his adored great grandchildren Seth Lindsey, Madison Milton, Lexi Lindsey, Luke Walker Lindsey, Elijah Walker Burkholder, Abby Burkholder, and Walker Noah Sharp; his brother Hubert Fields of Cookville, TN, and his dog Roughhouse.

In addition to his parents Walker was preceded in death by his son Larry Fields, his granddaughter Cynthia Milton, brothers Pleasant, James, Daniel, Walter, Bige, and Simi Fields.

Walker served in the US Army during WWII; he was a member of service fraternal organizations including F & AM #98 Williamsburg, IAM Lodge 912, the VFW, American Legion Post 288. Walker was also a GE employee who retired after 40 years of service. He was a former Williamsburg Councilman, and a founding member of the Williamsburg Life Squad.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Central Baptist Church locate at 3235 Williamsburg-Bantam Rd, Batavia, OH 45103. Family and friends will be received beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery. Reverend Brad Whiteford will be officiating. And Military Honors will be held at the cemetery.
