Three classes of second grade students from Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Elementary School posed for a picture as they launch into a new week of learning.
Teachers Tammy Campbell, Mary Carr and Barbara Shipley received copies of the Ripley Bee newspaper and the Brown County Press exploring things like ‘persuasive/opinion writing with creating advertisements and commercials.
Many students aren’t exposed to a newspaper so they will do many language arts fun activities like scavenger hunts, newspaper format with Scholastic News subscription.
“We are really looking forward to working with our students this week and hope they learn a lot about newspapers,” Mrs. Carr said.
