As the 2017-2018 school year begins, the new Ripley Union Lewis Huntington School District is gearing up for its first Open House, set for Monday, Aug. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m., according to the district’s new superintendent Jamie Wilkins.
“It’s finally here,” Wilkins said, “The first day of school at RULH is Wednesday, August 16, and I’ve been very impressed with the number of teachers working already, in preparation for the school year.
“Our principals have been preparing for the past month in preparation for the school year, and the secretarial and custodial staffs have done a wonderful job of preparing the buildings. It’s going to be a fantastic school year.”
