Aberdeen’s Police Dept. continues to grow

Two of the Village of Aberdeen’s finest, are featured in the Ripley Bee July 27, including the Chief of Police Fred Hampton and fellow officer Gene Longo who moved from auxiliary status to full time employee on March 28, 2016.
Officer Longo came to the Aberdeen Police Department after serving as a member of the U.S. Air Force in the Security Forces.
Upon his return to Ohio he chose law enforcement as a career path. He attended the Green County Police Academy. He is currently not married and enjoys fishing and reading.
Chief Hampton, who has been chief in Aberdeen since February, 2016 says that he is very happy to have Officer Longo as a member of his department.
