Historic home in Ripley is sold following renovations

By Martha B. Jacob –

One of the oldest and most prestigious, historical homes in the Village of Ripley, built before the Civil War, has sold once again. The Chambers Baird home at the corner of Mulberry and US 52 in Ripley, is a 5-bay federal style mansion which has charmed passersby for many years.
Bob and Linda Ross bought the home in September of 2007 and began its restoration right after the closing, according to Linda Ross.
“We went into the house and immediately started a huge list of everything we planned to do,” Ross said.
