Residents of Ripley are being asked to decorate their homes for the holidays, with free greens, courtesy of the Ripley River Village Christmas Committee.
The greens can be picked up in front of the big red barn on Third Street. Greens will be available Thanksgiving weekend.
Be sure to decorate your door for the Door Decorating contest that is judged before the RRVC scheduled for Dec. 9-11.
Get your act together (ha ha) and enter the Ripley River Village Christmas “Sing-Off” on Sunday afternoon during Ripley River Village Christmas. The”Sing-Off” is open to anyone regardless of age, is eligible to participate.
There will be a limit of four individuals competing as a group. First place – $100; Second place – $75 and Third place $50.
The scoring will be on a 1-10 scale based on vocal talent, stage presence, and overall crowd appeal with 30 being highest possible points. Contact Harriett Groh at harriettgroh@yahoo.com.
Get in the Holiday spirit with the play The Best Christmas Pageant Ever that will be held on Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. in the RULH Middle School cafetorium. This play is a hilarious Christmas classic that is a must see! Adults are $5 and students are $3 with age 4 and under FREE.
All proceeds go to the RULH Music Boosters and the programs they support. Come and laugh!
December 9, Friday of RVC weekend starts at 5:30 with the Ripley Library Christmas Tree lighting and RULH 3-8 grade chorus providing Holiday music
followed by the Friends of the Library book sale and Hot Chocolate Social.
