COLUMBUS – State Representatives Doug Green and Cheryl Grossman (R-Grove City) hosted an event Dec. 7 in the Ohio Statehouse to honor America’s military heroes on the 74th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

The organization, Wreaths Across America, is sponsoring the wreath-laying ceremony that is focused on honoring veterans and active military and their families, as well as teaching the next generation about the cost of freedom.

The ceremony took place in the Statehouse Atrium. Rebecca Frank, an Ohio Gold Star Mother, was the keynote speaker.

“I am humbled to once again host this important event and welcome my good friend and colleague, Representative Grossman, on board this year as we pause to recognize those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we continue to experience,” Green said.

“It is important for us to recognize this day to honor those fallen heroes and families who have fought and represented the long history of patriotism and honor to keep our country safe,” Grossman said.
