Carl Smith, Chief Deputy Brown County Sheriff’s Office, is announcing the department’s newest deputy, Deputy Black. Black is a two-year-old German Shepherd that was imported from Holland. Black with his partner, Sgt. Dave Johnson, will be used in the intervention of drugs and tracking suspects in burglaries and other offenses. Black will be a valuable asset to the sheriff’s office and to the citizens of Brown County in the battle against the growing drug problem.
