The Brown County Christian Academy is currently enrolling children for the Young 5’s class for the 2015/2016 school year as well as grades K – seven.
The Young 5’s class is designed for children who will turn 4 by Aug. 1. This class is limited to 14 children per session with one teacher and one aide.
The current schedule for the class is as follows: Monday-Friday Session one – 8 – 11 a.m.; Session two – 12 – 3 p.m.
The curriculum for the Young 5’s class will incorporate reading, math, science, Bible, music, arts and crafts and outdoor play time. The reading program is intended to lay a solid phonics-based foundation for reading and to develop phonemic awareness skills. A strong number sense will be developed in math using concrete manipulatives and fun math activities. The children will participate in weekly music classes and daily bible and prayer time.
The goal of this program is to develop important building blocks skills for reading, writing, speaking and listening – core components of a classical education. Children will learn habits of self-control, courtesy and caring for one another as well as develop habits of orderliness and attentiveness. Through this fun and exciting program children will learn that school is a joyful and loving place where they will learn to pray with and for each other.
Tuition for the Young 5’s program is $1500 that can be paid in one, three or 10 payments.
