The Brown County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Brown County Farm Bureau are partnering for a “Create your own Rain Barrel” workshop. This workshop will take place 5 p.m. June 30, at the Brown County Farm Bureau office, located 325 W State Street, in Georgetown. Staff will be on hand to walk those who attend through the steps of turning a plastic barrel into a Rain Barrel.

Cost per rain barrel is $10. Rain barrels can hold up to 55 gallons of rooftop runoff that can be used as a free source of water to water gardens, lawns or flower beds. For more information contact Carly Ratliff, from Brown County Soil and Water Conservation District, at 937-378-4424 x121 or email at cratliff@brownswcd.org.

Rain Barrels are available to the first 15 participants. Barrels will be made available to everyone who attends.
