Six now in the running for Tobacco Festival Queen

There are currently six entrants in the 2010 Ohio Tobacco Festival Queen contest this year. In order to qualify to participate in the Queen contest, applicants must be between 16 and 21 years old and from the Brown County area.
OTF Queen candidates include:
• Brandi Fay Logan, 17, of Ripley. Logan is the daughter of Tony Logan and Opal Powell. She currently attends Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington High School and participates in cross country and track. She hopes to some day attend the University of Cincinnati to become a nurse. Brandi Logan said her mother has been influential in her life by helping her to set up goals, and her family has always been there for her.
• Kaylin Jessica Mason, 17, of Aberdeen. Mason is the daughter of Jason and Lori Lang. Mason attends the RULH High School and is currently taking classes at Maysville Community and Technical College. She is employed at Rockin’ Robin’s in Ripley, and plans to major in nursing at Maysville Community and Technical College. During her time at RULH, Mason participated in FCCLA, FFA, DECA, and was the vice-president of student council her junior year.
