Ripley Village Council met in regular session April 25 before a full council.
More than 30 visitors attended the meeting to talk to council about their concerns over the police department’s use of a new hand-held Lidar device that includes a camera which takes pictures of licence plates on vehicles who are breaking speed limits in the Village of Ripley.
According to Ripley Mayor Tom Leonard, much of the issues addressed by visitors was fueled by social media, which according to Leonard did not have the facts.
