Ohio Valley Manor recently honored resident veterans in a program that highlighted their military service and sacrifice. Veterans of all military branches who served in the World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars received honorary pins from the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
The Veterans Day program also welcomed speaker, Ned Lodwick, who gave a presentation on “Flags of the Civil War.” Attired in the uniform of a Civil War cavalry sergeant, Mr. Lodwick educated residents and staff on the many flags carried throughout the Civil War, including regimental flags and the background of the Stars and Stripes.
