MT. ORAB – The Brown County Chamber of Commerce and Nick Gray officially announced the opening of the newest branch of Edward Jones in Mt. Orab. While Gray has been working for several months, he finally held his grand opening on Thursday Jan. 14.
Those familiar with Edward Jones may recognize Gray from his time working in Georgetown with fellow financial adviser Jim Holden. Now Gray is on his own at his office on Main Street in Mt. Orab.
Gray told the members of the Chamber of Commerce and county officials he is excited for the opportunity to grow in Mt. Orab and hoped to become a staple in the community. Gray said he hoped to become visible to the community and recognize him as someone they can go to when they need help with future planning.
Mt. Orab fit as a perfect location for Gray and Edward Jones to make their expansion here in Brown County.
“It’s the area in the County that is really booming and taking off,” Gray said. “We want to have a large presence here. Edward Jones stands on the small town feel. We want people to realize we have that open door approach and we want to get to know each and every individual in this community.”
While Gray is based in Mt. Orab, his office serves all of Brown County and the surrounding areas. Gray said his clients range all over the county and all areas of income. He said he plans on focusing on the needs of the community and the individual.
“Every person has a different goal in life and not every goal is tied to financial bearing,” Gray said. “We are here to educate and we want people to ask questions. It does not take an abundance of money, but it’s a misconception that so many people believe in and they are afraid to ask questions. Our doors are open, come ask us questions.”
Gray plans on host events geared toward his clients and future clients who seek not only financial services but educational services within the financial community. Gray said he does not only want to help advise those in need, but to help make them more informed about the choices they make financially.
“I have quite a bit of interest in Social Security seminars, but as my clients and prospects come to me with topics that are concerning and I see groups who want to learn more about a certain area we would love to educate,” Gray said. “We want clients to have a better understanding of what we actually do. So many people think we are here to invest money, but we are here to help people with their lives and goals for whatever you want in life.”
Gray is ready to start his journey into the Mt. Orab community and is ready to build a loyal base of customers and clients who need the best advice he can give them.
“I am very happy and very proud to be here,” Gray said. “I hope to be a staple of this community for a long time to come.”
