GEORGETOWN – Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Christopher Roe has been selected 2015 Trooper of the Year at the Georgetown Post.

The selection of Trooper Roe, 31, is in recognition of outstanding service during 2015 at Georgetown. Fellow officers chose Roe based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.

Roe is now in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Award to be announced at a later date.

Roe joined the Highway Patrol in 2012 and has served at the Georgetown Post since then. Originally from Clayton, Ohio and a graduate of Northmont High School, Roe also attended Sinclair Community College.

Trooper Roe and his wife, DeAnna, live in Brown County with their daughter Adalyn, age 1.
