Commissioner’s journal

The Brown County Board of Commissioners met in regular session June 29 with the following members present: Daryll Gray, President; Tony Applegate, Member; Barry Woodruff, Member

Motion moved by Barry Woodruff to approve the minutes of the previous regular meeting and dispense with the oral reading. Second: Tony Applegate.

Motion moved by Tony Applegate to approve the request of Mitch Sharp, Brown County JFS, for an appropriation change decreasing S50-06 (Contract) in the amount of $50,000 and increasing S50-05 (Assistance) in the amount of $50,000. Second: Barry Woodruff.

Motion moved by Barry Woodruff to approve the request of Charles Ashmore, Administrator, for a supplemental appropriation of unappropriated funds from A00 (CGF) in the amount of $4,531 into 2c30d (Juvenile Court Other Expenses). Said funds are needed to pay the unanticipated costs incurred for transcripts required for an appeal hearing. Second: Tony Applegate.

Motion moved by Tony Applegate to approve the request of Sarah Prebble, Clerk, for an advance from County General Fund 15a15a (Transfer Out) in the amount of $30 into CHIP D30-15 (Advance In). Second: Barry Woodruff.

Motion moved by Barry Woodruff to approve the request of Sarah Prebble, Clerk, for a supplemental appropriation of unappropriated funds from D30 in the amount of $30 into D30-6 (PERS). Second: Tony Applegate.

Motion moved by Tony Applegate to approve the request of Charles Ashmore, Administrator, for a supplemental appropriation of unappropriated funds from A00 (CGF) in the amount of $11,590 into 2c30c (Unemployment Juvenile Court). Said funds are needed to pay the remainder of the estimated costs of unemployment benefits for 3 former employees. Second: Barry Woodruff.

Motion moved by Barry Woodruff to enter agreement with David Daniel for skilled and unskilled labor in accordance with instructions of the Board for maintenance of buildings to be compensated at $15/hr. not to exceed $13,970.65 from this date through 12/31/15. Second: Tony Applegate.

Motion moved by Tony Applegate to adjourn this meeting with no further business before the Board June 29. Second: Barry Woodruff.

Commissioners, Barry Woodruff and Daryll Gray, attended the 40th Anniversary Celebration at Southern State, Mt. Orab June 24.

Commissioner Gray attended the Economic Development Symposium hosted by CCAO with Kelly Cole, Director of Development, at Columbus, June 25.

Commissioners, Daryll Gray and Barry Woodruff, attended the Communication Center to present a Certificate for Years of Service to Judy Baker, June 26.

Commissioners met with Judge Worley and Joni Dotson, Court Administrator, to discuss need of additional personnel, June 29.

Commissioners met with Daniel Lally and Jenny Hausen, Catholic Charities, to discuss transition of Brown County Senior Services of Northern Brown Citizens. In attendance: Jessica Little, BC Prosecutor; Sue Lang, BC Senior Citizens; and Al Norris, ABCAP June 29.
