Culvert replacements have been scheduled for state Route 505 in Brown County, and the route will be closed during daytime, business hours for three days.

Crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Brown County facility were scheduled to close state Route 505 at the 5.38-mile marker, just north of County Road 59 (Love Road) for a single-day culvert replacement project on Tuesday, June 23.

State Route 505 will be closed at the 0.79 and 0.89-mile markers on Wednesday and Thursday, June 24 and 25, just north of Higginsport, for two, single-day culvert replacements at these locations.

Throughout the three-day project, the route will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, with the route open to two-way traffic during the evening and overnight hours. During periods of closure, however, motorists will be detoured via U.S. 52 and state Route 221 at Higginsport to state Route 125 and state Route 505/756.

Although the entire project is anticipated to be completed by the close of the business day Thursday, June 25, completion of all work will be contingent upon the weather.
