Two winners were selected to receive the 2015 Brown County Solid Waste Scholarship: John Talley from Fayetteville Perry High School and Braydon Boyd from Western Brown High School. This year applicants were asked to write an essay on improvements they would institute to increase and promote recycling in Brown County.

Both applicants had exceptional responses and were awarded this year’s BCSWA Scholarship to aid in their educational futures.

Talley will be attending college in the fall, where his field of interest will be medicine. Boyd has been accepted into Engineering College at both University of Cincinnati and Wright State University, where his field of study will be Biomedical Engineering. He hopes to use his degree to develop prosthesis for US military personnel.

The Brown County Foundation assisted with this annual program.
