Georgetown Police Officer Vicky Coburn and Brown County Prosecutor’s Office Investigator Forrest “Buddy” Coburn, were recognized by the Brown County Police Chief’s Association for extreme actions of valor for their part in the apprehension and arrest of Michael Wilcox on April 16. Wilcox is currently under indictment for the murder of Courtney Cox on J. Bolender Road.

“Any encounter a police officer has with a crime suspect has the potential to turn deadly in an instant. Vicky and Buddy are examples of what our local police community does every day, they put their lives on the line. We are blessed to have such dedicated and well trained officers ‘always ready’ to keep us safe” said Jessica Little, Prosecuting Attorney.
